Queen Snake
A tablet found in a tunnel under the main temple of the ancient Mayan city of El Perú - Waka ' in northern Guatemala has proven secret on what archaeologists call ' dark period ' in the history of the Maya.Confusing and difficult to decipher hieroglyphics are still in the process of decoding by archaeologists, but until now it has been understood that tell the story of a violent ' Queen Snake ' six centuries.
Tablets dating to the year 564, a time when two royal dynasties are fighting for power , something that happened hundreds of years before the collapse of the Mayan civilization , which still remains one of the greatest mysteries of archeology.

The stone tablet has stood exposed to the elements for hundreds of years - before being buried as a sacrifice at a funeral for another queen .
Epigraph Stanley Guenter , who deciphered the text , believes that the tablets initially dedicated to King Wa'oom Uch'ab Tzi'kin .
